John H. Kleschinsky
John H. Kleschinsky, M.P.H., serves as a project associate for the Higher Education Center for Alcohol, Drug Abuse, and Violence Prevention. He is responsible for managing the online training program, assisting with the Webinar program, developing alcohol and other drug (AOD) abuse prevention content for the Center’s Web site, and carrying out training and technical assistance activities. In addition, he will conduct a variety of research activities and assist in the coordination and development of proposals.
His research interests include AOD abuse prevention; the prevention and treatment of behavioral health problems, such as addiction and common co-occurring disorders; program evaluation; translating research to practice; and the development of dynamic self-help interventions for use on computers and smartphones. Mr. Kleschinsky’s work has appeared in Computers in Human Behavior, the Journal of Gambling Studies, and the Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs. He earned his bachelor of science degree in kinesiology and his master of public health in health policy and management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in social and behavioral sciences at the Boston University School of Public Health.
