Lance Segars
Lance Segars, Ph.D., is a lecturer at San Diego State University, School of Social Work. Dr. Segars has more than 30 years of experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation in the alcohol and other drug (AOD) abuse prevention and treatment areas. As a researcher and trainer, he has worked with local, state, and national agencies in the development and evaluation of a variety of environmentally and educationally based AOD prevention programs in a variety of settings, including community-based and higher education settings. As a coauthor of College Alcohol Risk Assessment Guide: Environmental Approaches to Prevention, he has worked with many colleges and universities in designing and implementing environmental prevention programs on their campuses.
