Methamphetamine, cocaine abusers have different patterns of drug use, suffer different cognitive impairments

Abstract:

This article examines a NIDA-sponsored study, comparing the frequency of use between methamphetamine and cocaine. Findings suggest that while cocaine users usually take the drug in the evening in binge-type behavior, methamphetamine users typically take the drug early in the morning and continue using at 2-4 intervals throughout the day.
