Abstract:
This book follows the progression of MDMA or "Ecstasy" from a legal psychotherapeutic drug to an illegal "designer" drug. It also examines the efforts and resistance to the DEA’s ban of the drug in the mid-80s. The authors collect ‘street’ research – by tracking down users, dealers, manufacturers, and other authorities who know first-hand the effects of MDMA.
