The Challenge in Higher Education: Confronting and Reducing Substance Abuse on Campus

ONDCP has created this publication to provide administrators at institutions of higher education a basic understanding of alcohol and other drug abuse among college students and to encourage their support in “facing the challenge.” In addition to an overview of the current problem, this booklet provides ideas for combating alcohol and other drug use on campus, case studies and examples of successful efforts, and additional resources for prevention and treatment.
