Drug-facilitated, Incapacitated, and Forcible Rape: A National Study
National Institute of Justice, U.S. Department of Justice
This report summarizes the findings of a study of the scope, nature, and consequences of rape in the United States. Using interviews conducted with 5,000 U.S. women aged 18–86, it provides statistical information on drug-facilitated, forcible, and incapacitated rape in communities and on college campuses, identifies key characteristics of drug-facilitated and forcible rapes, and describes factors that affected women’s reporting of rape to police or seeking help from a support network.
