This brief introduction is a list of resources for those responsible for developing an emergency preparedness plan. It contains the following categories: 1) What Schools Should Do; 2) Help for Students with Special Needs; 3) A list of the essential elements of an emergency crisis plan identifies; and 4) Additional Resources. Although the site’s target audience is primary and secondary school personnel, campus AODV professionals will find links to state emergency management agencies, NASPA, the CDC Emergency Preparedness and Response “Preparation and Planning” page, and other helpful resources.
