The mission of NIDA (the National Institute on Drug Abuse) is to lead the Nation in bringing the power of science to bear on drug abuse and addiction. While NIDA’s main focus is research, it also strives to disseminate the latest information on drug abuse to the general public. The NIDA web site is organized with separate sections for researchers and health professionals, parents and teachers, students. There are also sections specific to various drugs, including alcohol, club drugs, and steroids.
