The Presidents Leadership Group

The Center for College Health and Safety (CCHS) developed the Presidents Leadership Group (PLG) in 1997 to recognize the important contributions that college and university presidents make in substance abuse prevention and the difference these efforts make both on- and off-campus. With support from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the PLG brought national attention to campus AOD issues, highlighting concrete ways presidents can serve as effective catalysts for change. This section of the CCHS Web site features several PLG materials and products, presidential profiles, and Web pages devoted to the efforts of each of its member presidents.
