Alcohol is just one of the problems

“La Crosse's alcohol-related deaths of college-age men makes it easy to pinpoint alcohol abuse as the problem college students face.”
“But a look at statistics from La Crosse's three college campuses shows college students are dealing with some major issues in addition to alcohol abuse, such as depression and emotionally abusive relationships. Alcohol, perhaps, is just the most visible problem.”
“The local Changing the Culture of Risky Drinking Behavior Coalition compiled statistics on mental health, lifestyle behaviors and alcohol use among students at Western Technical College, Viterbo University and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The results were tallied from about 1,700 students who responded to the National College Health Assessment Summary between fall 2008 and spring 2009. …”
