"Iowa City is one step closer to having a tougher stand on underage and binge drinking."

"The Iowa City Council will look into making the number of times a business is cited for selling alcohol to underage people part of the liquor license renewal process, councilors decided at its work session Monday night..."

"The council, however, decided not to further discuss an ordinance that would restrict price specials on alcohol. Councilor Michael Wright said studies have shown that overconsumption and price specials 'go hand in hand...'"
