"University of Iowa students accounted for less than a quarter of the charges filed by the Iowa City and University Iowa police departments during 2009-10 academic year, according to a UI report."

"During the academic year, which is considered as Aug. 1, 2009, to May 20, 2010, the two police departments filed 6,636 charges according to a letter UI Dean of Students David Grady wrote to Iowa City Police Chief Sam Hargadine on June 28. Of those 6,636 charges, 1,588 or 23.9 percent were filed against 1,098 UI students. ..."
