ASU off-campus housing cracks down on underage drinking

“The growth at Arizona State University has sparked the construction of numerous privately-owned apartment complexes, including the Vue on Apache, Campus Suites on the Rail and the new Block 1949, aimed mainly at students. Many of the off-campus complexes advertise themselves as a more lenient alternative for over-21 students who are not allowed to drink on campus as part of ASU's alcohol policy.”
“But those policies can bring in underage drinkers as well, which has prompted many complexes to take more strict policies regarding enforcement. This often makes the first few months rough for apartment managers and police. …”
