"Binge drinking causes more than 79,000 deaths in the United States every year, and more than 15 percent of adults say they binge drink, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Binge drinking is defined by the CDC and many other health organizations as more than four standard drinks for a man and more than three drinks for a woman in a single occasion."
"According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, binge drinking rates increase as high school students get older, with about 17 percent of children 15 years old and younger, 28 percent of 16- to 17-year-olds and 36 percent of 18-year-olds admitting to binge drinking. ..."
