"College drinking may begin on campus, but it's annoying and sometimes dangerous effects can be felt in nearby communities."

"Area residents complain about the noise caused by college students who drink. Fights and sexual assaults are the two biggest problems associated with the behavior, according to police."

"Drinking also can lead to driving under the influence, littering, and a number of other things frowned upon by local residents. ..."
