"The University of Colorado will add six new police officers to its department, stepping up the late-night patrols on campus."

"The CU police department will grow its staff to 46 officers by 2011, the school announced today during a press conference about improving campus safety. More officers will allow the campus police to start a 'platoon strategy,' with up to 10 police officers patrolling between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m."

"A new survey released by CU's student-government today showed that 89.3 percent of surveyed students said they felt 'very safe' or 'somewhat safe' on campus. The survey was voluntarily completed by 2,345 students, staff and faculty members, said Eva Hueber, former director of neighborhood and city relations for the student government. ..."
