"The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student and a friend used the social networking site Facebook to plan a school-spirit block party in the UWM neighborhood for Sept. 20. The group of Facebook members interested in the party exploded from two to 5,000."

And even though Lemke used Facebook and e-mail this week to try to call off the event, Lemke can't help but worry that the power of Facebook is beyond his control, and that some renegade partiers will get him into trouble..."

"In addition to sending letters to Frederick Ave. landlords, representatives from COAST, a UWM organization meant to provide students living off campus with information about resources, went door to door on the street this week, talking to student renters..."
