"The Men's Anti-Violence Council, a new University of Iowa group, is informing students about methods of violence prevention."

"The council is part of the Women's Resource and Action Center and receives funding from a federal Department of Justice program, council coordinator Jerrod Koon said..."

"The council ran a 15-hour training program this fall that dealt with myriad issues, including how bystanders to inappropriate behavior can help. Four people completed the program, which will be offered again in February 2009..."
