The Higher Education Center is pleased to make the following announcements:

1) National Conference on Health and Domestic Violence

The fifth National Conference on Health and Domestic Violence is a program of the Family Violence Prevention Fund's National Health Resource Center on Domestic Violence, funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Youth and families, October 9-10, 2009, at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Registration for the conference is $400 MD/DO/DDS, $300 Advocates/Students, $350 Other Health Care Professional/Residents and $75 off original fee for Lead Workshop Presenters. Early registration closes August 10, 2009.

The goal of the Conference is to advance health care's response to domestic violence. The National Conference provides valuable professional education on the latest research and innovative health care prevention and clinical responses to domestic violence as well as models for collaboration between violence prevention advocates, health care providers and other systems.
