1) New FERPA Web page Posted to the Higher Education Center's Web site

The Higher Education Center has posted a new Web page on The Family Rights and Educational Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99), a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records.

2) "Confronting Addiction" Article Assists Counselors in Helping Clients Facing Addiction

The American Counseling Association's Counseling Today Online has published an article, "Confronting Addiction" on how best to help clients facing alcohol, drug, sex or gambling addictions. The article contains a specific reference to working with college students.
