Controlling Rowdy House Parties Through Enforcement: Off-campus parties that foster underage and high-risk drinking and become a nuisance to neighbors are often a sore spot when it comes to town-gown relations. Responding to these parties is leading communities to adopt new measures and enforcement strategies to reduce a range of problems faced by students and residents alike.

Program Description:
The BACCHUS Certified Peer Educator (CPE) training is a comprehensive training for collegiate peer educators that empower them to educate, confront, listen to, and help their peers make healthy lifestyle choices. CPE training is a 12 hour training that focuses on strategies for change in high-risk behaviors, listening skills, responding and referral skills, inclusiveness, personal health, presentation/programming skills and intervention skills. This training is a train-the-trainer program for advisors that will be facilitating CPE at their campus. This six-hour training will cover all of tools needed to facilitate the training. In addition, participants will understand how to facilitate large and small-group discussions and how to utilize activities to increase peer educators competencies. They will understand the CPE curriculum and how to utilize activities, videos, and discussion to enhance the CPE experience. Participants will leave the training competent and confident in utilizing the training to improve their peer educator competencies at their campus.
