Ithaca College students help in passage of new 911 Good Samaritan law

"A new law in New York state grants legal amnesty to people requiring medical attention after over-use of alcohol or drugs, as well as to those who call for help for another person."
"Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the 911 Good Samaritan Policy into law July 20. The purpose of the law is to encourage a witness or victim of an alcohol or other drug related medical emergency to call 911 to seek emergency assistance in order to save the life of a potential overdose victim. ..."
