"Officials at Messiah College are reviewing their procedures for notifying students of potential threats to their safety after Saturday's assault of a female student there."

"After the attack, which happened about 1 a.m. on a fitness trail that rings the Grantham campus, the college, in consultation with township police, sent students a 'personal safety reminder' with a list of five tips, such as keeping doors locked to and not walking or jogging alone after dark."

"That message, though, didn't mention the attack that prompted the warning. That information was not released until more than three days later, when a second e-mail was sent. ..."
