"In a vote of 15 – 6, the state Senate passed SB231, the Campus Protection Act. The bill, which will allow conceal carry weapons (CCW) permit holders to carry a firearm on the campuses of the Nevada System of Higher Education, will now move to the state Assembly."

"In his argument in favor of the bill, in which he was the main sponsor, Senator John Lee explored safety on college campuses, affirming that predators realize college campuses are victim-defenseless areas. Lee asserted that passage of SB231 will allow students and faculty to protect themselves. ..."
