“In the wake of the death of Raven Gileau, a 19-year-old Iowa State University student who was hit by a train following a night of drinking, police say the city has been considering re-examining the law that allows patrons of any age to get into bars if at least half the revenue comes from food.”

" 'I understand the reason behind the ordinance,' Cmdr. Mike Brennan of the Ames Police Department said. 'You certainly don’t want to take away from a place’s food business. But in cases where establishments are clearly operating as a bar after a certain hour is something we ought to look at maybe making some changes to.' …”
