Providence proposal would limit kegs at house parties

"It’s not that city officials want to knock the foam off everybody’s fun. But if a proposed ordinance is adopted by the City Council, anyone who wants to buy kegs of beer for a gathering will be limited to one at a time."

"The ordinance would affect anyone who wants to serve beer from a keg in a residential zone or in a dwelling and who is not otherwise licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages. That individual would be entitled to have only one registration sticker at a time and to have a keg with a maximum capacity of 16 gallons…"
