Rental house firms say they’ll obey city order after arrests of ND athletes

“The firms that own and manage the student rental house that was the site of an underage drinking raid Saturday said they will fully obey the city’s order to eliminate any illegal activity there. The house at 1017 E. Washington St. is owned by Gross & Cohen Real Estate Investors Ltd., based in Woburn, Mass., and managed by Philadelphia-based Campus Apartments, which has an office in South Bend.”

“City officials on Wednesday sent letters to the house’s occupants and owners citing it under South Bend’s disorderly house ordinance. They were ordered to immediately cease any illegal activity, including consumption of alcohol by minors, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement, or face fines of $2,500 for each violation. …”
