Santa Fe may expand ban on guns

"Santa Fe College officials plan to expand the college's ban on firearms and weapons on campus."

"Already, state law prohibits guns on school campuses and the college's existing policy does not allow students to have guns in their vehicles on college property, regardless of whether they have a valid concealed weapons permit."

"The proposed expansion of the weapons ban would prohibit faculty, staff, contractors working on campus and visitors to the college from keeping a gun or weapon in their locked vehicles, regardless of whether or not they have a concealed weapons permit. ..."
