"Imitation drug products that have been the subject of a national controversy have appeared in the Southern Tier, though their prevalence in the area is uncertain."

"Synthetic marijuana is being sold nationwide at gas stations, convenience stores and smoke shops, according to the American Association of Poison Control Centers."

"The legal alternatives to marijuana are sold under names such as K2 Incense, Spice, Blonde, Summit, Standard and Citron, the state Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services said in a health alert in August. ..."
