"University of Minnesota President Bob Bruininks will ask the school's governing body on Friday to disallow alcohol sales in the new TCF Bank Stadium. ..."

"Bruininks' move comes after the Minnesota Legislature and Gov. Tim Pawlenty made a new law requiring that all of-age game attendees have equal access to alcohol. ..."

"The university's Board of Regents will consider the proposal and will likely take action at a June 24 meeting. If the regents approve Bruininks' request, Williams Arena and Mariucci Arena will also be alcohol-free on game days. ..."
