UConn balks at student plan to organize spring weekend festival

“University of Connecticut student leaders say they have a plan that would make the notorious spring weekend safer and more enjoyable, but university administrators are balking, fearing it would increase the school's liability.”

“Thomas Haggerty, president of the undergraduate student government, said he is disappointed that the administration is not supportive of the proposal, which provides music, better lighting, more security and food vendors for the event…”
