"Western Carolina University will host a march, rally and events including a presentation by a national women's safety expert this fall as part of a Red Zone Awareness Campaign to combat dating violence."

"The 'red zone' refers to the period of time early in a woman's first year of college when she is thought to be at particularly high risk for unwanted sexual experiences."

"The campaign will promote campus safety and healthy relationships. In addition, the initiative will incorporate materials from the Red Flag Campaign, a project of the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance. ..."
