"Colby College is set to target high-risk, heavy consumption of alcohol among students."

"After more than a year of study, the Campus Culture Working Group on Tuesday night reported its recommendations, which aim to change the binge-drinking climate on campus through new policies, and by offering students more academic and social options during the week."

"The study was ordered by Colby's Board of Trustees following the college's 'Senior Champagne on the Steps' event in 2008. The event, in which students celebrated the completion of their studies, had in recent years been linked to heavy drinking and the hospitalization of multiple students. ..."
