Translating Research to Practice: Overcoming Barriers to Implementing Effective Off-Campus Party Prevention
April 17-18, 2012
Portland, Oregon
Research demonstrates that a comprehensive, environmental approach increases success in reducing alcohol-related problems on campus and in the surrounding community. Especially during these times of financial restraint for many colleges and universities, doing more with fewer staff and resources is increasingly becoming the norm around alcohol abuse prevention.
During this two-day Training Institute, participants will build upon existing skills to learn how to implement evidence-based prevention strategies to reduce the problems related to off-campus parties.
Date: Tuesday–Wednesday, April 17–18, 2012
Location: Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront, Portland, Oregon. A special $113/night rate (single or double occupancy) will be available.
Cost: The Training Institute is offered free of charge. Participants pay their own travel, lodging, and food.
Attendance will be limited to 100 participants and, therefore, attendees are expected to participate in the entire event.
Space is limited, so apply now!
