2010 National Conference on Sexual Assault in Our Schools
Each week, the Higher Education Center showcases recent developments in the field of AOD abuse and violence prevention in higher education that may include new data and resources, upcoming events and programs, funding opportunities, and learning opportunities. The conference is sponsored by Campus Outreach Services, the National Center for Higher Education Risk Management, the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, One in Four, One Student, and the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape.
Presentations regarding campus programming, evaluation, bystander intervention, and underserved campus communities will also include the following:
- “Creating an Inclusive Response to Underserved Communities on Campus” (based on a special California Coalition Against Sexual Assault initiative focused on preventing violence against women at historically black colleges and universities)
- “Creating Safe Spaces for LGBTQ-Identified Victim/Survivors of Sexual Violence”
The conference will take place October 22–24, 2010, in Atlanta, Georgia. Early-bird registration is available through October 10, 2010, and partial scholarships may be available.
