Models of Exemplary, Effective, and Promising Alcohol or Other Drug Abuse Prevention Programs on College Campuses Grant Program
Each week, the Higher Education Center showcases recent developments in the field of AOD abuse and violence prevention in higher education that may include new data and resources, upcoming events and programs, funding opportunities, and learning opportunities. Funds awarded through this program are used to identify and disseminate information about exemplary and effective alcohol or other drug abuse prevention programs implemented on college campuses. The U.S. Department of Education also recognizes colleges and universities whose programs, while not yet exemplary or effective, show evidence that they are promising. The funds also are used by grantees to enhance and further evaluate their exemplary, effective, or promising programs. Following a peer review process, the following campuses have been selected to receive this award:

University of Massachusetts Amherst
University of Pennsylvania
University of Wyoming
Virginia Commonwealth University
