An increased risk for suicide among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) young people has been highlighted in numerous recent events nationwide. LGBT adolescents have a higher suicide rate than other youth groups. The Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) has developed a free workshop kit to help staff in schools, youth-serving organizations, and suicide prevention programs take action to reduce suicidal behavior among LGBT students. In addition, the SPRC offers free Webinars and other resources for campus and community prevention professionals.
