Program: Capacity Building Initiative for Substance Abuse and HIV Prevention Services for At-Risk Racial/Ethnic Minority Young Adults (CFDA Number: 93.243) (Funding Opportunity Number: SP-10-004).
Eligibility: Colleges and universities; community-level public and private nonprofit entities, including nonprofit community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, health care delivery organizations, local governments, federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native tribes and tribal organizations, and urban Indian organizations.
Purpose: The program supports an array of activities needed in delivering substance abuse and HIV prevention services. The agency is particularly interested in hearing from college and university clinics/wellness centers and community-based organizations that provide comprehensive substance abuse and HIV prevention strategies. These strategies must combine education and awareness programs, social marketing campaigns, and HIV-testing services in nontraditional setting. They must be focused on substance abuse and HIV prevention for at-risk racial and ethnic minority young adults aged 18–24.
